Thanks to Karen & Gordon Shinn. Karen's brother made this.
In 1965 ,after leaving Don Myers, Bill drove for Flyer Tabata in 1966. This was his first ride in top of the line equipment. No expenses spared. This was the most beautiful super modified of its time. On opening day 1966 the throttle stuck and he had to spin the car twice without qualifying. Not a scratch of the car. He could never get this car to run for him and he and Flyer split in June. Howard Kaeding took over the ride and he was great in it. In 1967 Bill hooked up with Arnold Chaves at Dos Palmas Machine and the rest is history ! ( Photo and caption from the private collection of Gordon Shinn)
